Guardian Jet Appoints Rafael Mugnaini to Vice President, South America

Guilford, Conn. – March 31, 2022 – Guardian Jet, the world leader in aircraft brokerage, appraisals, and consulting, is pleased to announce the addition of Rafael Mugnaini to the role of Vice President, South America.

Rafael joins Guardian Jet with a rich history in the aviation industry. For more than twenty years, he has amassed meaningful experience in developing new markets for companies and leading sales teams in client-facing positions. This involvement in the industry makes Rafael the perfect candidate to foster Guardian Jet’s relationships in the South American territory.

As Guardian Jet expands its commitment to South America, the Vice President role that Rafael will be filling is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with the company’s aircraft brokerage and consulting prospects and clients. He will also manage vendor relationships to expand upon Guardian Jet’s industry partners.

Starting in 2019, Rafael served as the Commercial Director at Comexport, the first and largest Brazilian trading company. It was there that he bolstered the commercial standards by creating a Marketing Intelligence department to develop new opportunities for the company. Rafael worked with Comexport for a total of three years.

For eight years, Rafael served as a Sales Director at TAM Aviação Executiva. There he led a sales team, gaining market share by developing and executing new creative strategies in sales. In his time there, he worked closely with Textron Aviation, Bell Helicopters, and Flight Safety. Before his tenure at TAM Aviação Executiva, Rafael led sales for Embraer Executive Jets in the Latin American Region. He saw great success and significant growth in market share for Embraer.

Rafael earned a bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from the University Center of FEI in São Paulo, Brazil, as well as a post-graduate certificate in marketing from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado. Rafael earned an MBA from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa.
