Seven Guardian Jet Professionals Earn IADA Broker Certification

GUILFORD, Conn. – Guardian Jet LLC (guardianjet.com), the aircraft brokerage, appraisals and consulting firm, today announced that seven of its aviation professionals have earned a coveted professional brokerage certification from the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA.aero). The seven were among a group of approximately 50 aviation professionals to earn the certification in October.

The newly certified IADA aircraft brokers now join their colleagues as the most experienced and highly skilled professional consultants in the industry. They include:

• Robert Garrymore – Vice President, South Central
• Samantha Langen – Sales Director, Midwest
• Patrick Lynch – Team Lead, Aircraft Sales
• Mike McCafferty – Vice President, Northeast
• Mike Mikolay – Co-founder, EVP and Director of Operations 
• Russ Piggott – Vice President, West Coast
• Matt Walter – Vice President, New England

The broker examination required for certification measures the skills and competencies aircraft brokers must possess in the course of their professional duties. The seven now share their certified status with Guardian Jet’s Vice President of Sales, Michael “Doc” Dwyer. Dwyer, who serves on the Board for IADA, and who received his certification during an earlier round of testing in June.

The newly certified IADA aircraft brokers are all part of IADA-accredited dealer organizations representing buyers and sellers of business aircraft. The rigorous certification examination for brokers was developed and is maintained by Joseph Allan Aviation Consulting, which also developed the accreditation standards for aircraft dealers.

IADA dealers and brokers conduct business in more than 100 countries. While only three percent of all aircraft dealer organizations earn IADA accreditation, they handle more than 60 percent of the used business jet transactions.
